Advancing In
Kingdom Prayer

John Smed, our keynote speaker, will lead us in an adventure of prayer that we’ve never experienced before. John is the Founding Director of Prayer Current, an organization that helps leaders to multiply disciples through prayer and evangelism. Since 2000, John and his team have developed prayer training materials, conferences and coaching for church planters, campus ministers, pastors, evangelists and network teams throughout North America, extensively in Cuba, and in India, China and Russia through Prayer Current’s partners: Redeemer City to City, China Partnership, Equipping Leaders International, Church Multiplication Ministries, among others. 7 Days of Prayer with Jesus has been translated into 10 languages.

John imprinted on a life of prayer under the training of Francis and Edith Schaeffer in Switzerland- adopting a rich practice of prayer, open inquiry and deep fellowship early in his faith.  John’s convictions on prayer were born out of 30 years of experience in church planting and urban mission. With his wife Caron, John has planted two thriving urban churches in Canada. He directed church planting for Mission to North America for 7 years and helped start Grace Network Canada.

On Saturday, starting at 9 am, we will have three keynote sessions with teaching, Q&A and prayer training. Some updates from our missionaries will be shared during the day. And, of course, we will have lunch together.

On Sunday, there will be a prayer workshop, led by Katherine Lorance of Borderless & Lausanne Movement at 9:30 am, followed by a Sunday worship service at 10:30 am with John Smed delivering a sermon message. A detailed schedule of events for the entire conference can be found here. To watch the Sunday service livestream please return to the home page for details.

Online Registration is needed for Saturday activities which includes a lunch featuring Jimmy John sandwiches. The registration deadline is April 18th. All conference details and other information will be sent to registered participants only. There is no conference fee.
